— CASE STUDY / HOSPITALITY

Post-Hurricane Rehab with Fiber, In-Room Entertainment, and Multi-Zone Audio

During post-hurricane rehab, we replaced legacy networking and entertainment with a fiber backbone, DIRECTV Comm3000 + Advanced Entertainment Platform in every unit, and multi-zone audio across the pool deck and tiki bar.

— THE CHALLENGE

What needed to change

  • Post-hurricane rehab required replacing aging network and entertainment infrastructure across the property.
  • The property needed high-bandwidth connectivity to support modern streaming and in-room entertainment without relying on legacy, costly providers.
  • Guests expected a premium TV experience combining live channels and on-demand streaming — in one interface, not two.
  • Public areas — pool deck and tiki bar — needed multi-zone audio and integrated displays to deliver a cohesive guest experience.
— THE SOLUTION

How we solved it

Fiber Backbone + CAT-6 to Every Unit

Ran full fiber wiring into the building with CAT-6 terminations at every unit, delivering the high-speed, future-proof connectivity the property needed to drop Comcast-era services.

DIRECTV Comm3000 + Advanced Entertainment Platform

Installed DIRECTV Comm3000 set-top boxes in every unit and deployed the AEP platform — 46 live HDTV channels plus Netflix, YouTube, and Tubi in a single cloud-managed interface. Every unit got antimicrobial remote controls for guest hygiene.

Multi-Zone Pool Deck Audio

Re-wired and upgraded the pool deck for improved reliability, then installed a multi-zone audio system so staff can tune ambiance independently across outdoor areas.

Tiki Bar Display Integration

Mounted and installed TVs at the tiki bar to deliver seamless entertainment in the property's highest-traffic outdoor space.
